But besides knowing that it is a classic American IPA, there are some other really interesting components to this beer. If you don’t know much about it, maybe after reading this, you’ll come in and grab some!
The Bell’s Brewery was founded in the early 1980’s when Larry Bell went to attend Kalamazoo College. Having already done some home brewing on his own, Bell opened a home-brew supply shop in downtown Kalamazoo in 1983. He then began brewing commercially in a 15 gallon soup pot and opened Kalamazoo Brewing Co. Fast forward to 1985 and the Great Lakes Amber Ale (now known as Amber Ale) was brewed. This was a historic beer and because it was extremely popular early on, people still refer to it as “the beer that built the brewery.”
The Two Hearted Ale is named after fishing waters in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. It is an American IPA that is brewed with 100% Centennial Hops. This is a year round drinker that is suited for any occasion or adventure, and universally loved by new and old beer drinkers alike. The flavor notes are citrus, grapefruit and pine! This beer is bursting with fresh hop aromas, and now it’s at a great price at Boone’s- so come on in and have Bell’s Two Hearted accompany you on your next adventure!
