Grinning ear to ear, I can proudly say I have lived in Eagle County; A.K.A. the Vail Valley for over 34 years. I love it here! What this community offers is very special and has become the fiber of my cloth. My first year here consisted of learning how to be a property manager and tending bar. Tending bar, writing wine list, leading staff education & I were old friends, and old friends roots run deep, as the wine & spirits world does for me.
After spending my schooling years in Michigan, I began a journey through North American that eventually landed me in Vail. As for many people, putting myself through college consisted of many bartending jobs. Lucky for me, the wine & spirits world became my passion. Quickly on, I discovered, “the more I learned, the less I knew”…and I was hooked. I have spent the last 36 years learning, teaching, and growing in this very amazing & definitely cool world of wine, beer & spirits.
While as much as I enjoy skiing, hiking, dirt & street motorcycles, fishing, snowshoeing, traveling, & more, none of that would be as wonderful without enjoying a beverage of choice after, especially with friends. Even though wine is my greatest taste, motorcycles bring out the beer babe in me, and a fine whisky or cognac can wrap me around their finger many a night. All of these beautiful libations grown from mother earth and made into nectars for the gods. All I can say is “thank you!!!”Contact Beverly: beverly@booneswineandspirits.com

I was born in Pennsylvania and moved to Evergreen when I was 2 years old. Colorado has been my home since then! I put in a short stint at CSU then moved to the Vail Valley for the 97/98 winter season to pursue a snowboarding career. I started working as a ski rental tech and then got a part time job at a local liquor store which became the start of my wine, beer, and spirits career. I have 2 boys (8 and 11) that are energetic and love to be outside. If it’s snowboarding, skiing, biking, hiking, hockey, disc golf….me and the boys are always busy. I started working at the store June 1, 2015 and I am not looking back.

Our Inspiration
My dog Boone was a friend and companion for 15 years. He was a half Black Lab and half English Setter. He traveled North America with me, “Boone Style.” Not once did he stop himself from a new adventure. He traveled tens of thousands of miles, rafted, tubed, fished, loved sledding, hiked, camped, swam, swam, and swam some more and loved meeting new creatures. He was always up for something new, and went looking for it every day of his life.
We traveled from Vancouver to Toronto, Canada down to Washington State to Key West and all the parts in between. We left Michigan in 1976 in a 1968 VW van. All things were possible. Boone took ownership of the passenger seat immediately. Sitting tall and proud, he would “whoooo” when he wanted the visor down, bark when he needed to go and dance when it was time to stop and smell the daisies. He loved the backcountry and wilderness the best, but had no issues with the many homes of friends and family we enjoyed along the way. Some of these stays were extended as I would find a job and go to school for a semester and Boone would always make the best of it. Whether he sweet “whooed” a neighbor into regular afternoon treats or walks, he always seemed to be having a great time, his way. Boone was human-like in so many ways. I think if he was, he would have drunk dark beer, had rich red wine with dinner, and would have sipped on cognac in the evening.
Rest In Peace My Friend

I was raised in Tigard, Oregon in a house my parents have been in for 50+ years. Just after I turned 21, I decided to get away from the rainy northwest and get some sunshine. I moved to Oahu, Hawaii to spend a few months and then continue to travel. Instead I fell in love with the islands and the people, and I stayed for 6 years living on both Oahu and Maui bartending on the beach and traveling to all of the islands whenever I had a few days off. I moved to Beaver Creek in 1997 to ski and snowboard every day for a winter season… it’s now been 18 years. Pretty standard really:)
That first year I was one of the opening bartenders at the Dusty Boot Beaver Creek and spent three great years with them. After meeting my wife and spending about a year back in Hawaii, we returned to The Beav. I was lucky enough to land a job at Beano’s Cabin, my first introduction into the world of fine wine. I spent the next 13 years learning about, tasting, and selling some of the greatest wines on the planet. After a short year and a half as the General Manager of the the Dusty Boot and Luigi’s Pasta house in Eagle, I was asked to join the team at Boone’s Wine and Spirits as the new wine buyer. Ever since I left Beano’s, I had been itching to get back into the world of wine so it was a perfect fit. Two years ago our lives changed with the birth of our son, Cash Anderson, and fatherhood is incredible!
Favorite Drinks: Red Blends (Super Tuscan’s, Bordeaux or New World blends) and just about any good Whiskey
Hobbies: Snowboarding, Mt. Biking, Fly Fishing, Rafting, Climbing, Hiking, Dirt biking, you get the point!

I first saw the light go day in a tiny Northwest Ohio town. After a few years I knew there must be more to life than corn and soybeans. I got my elementary education degree from the University of Toledo and decided there must be more to life than second graders.
So I plunged into television production, trading beer in corn rows for wine in bistros.Spending a couple of decades in Detroit, I knew there must be more to life than local news and videos.
A friend lured me to Maryland with visions of oysters and soft crabs and my second career in the hospitality industry. Wine became more about quality than quantity.
Another couple of decades passed and I knew there must be more to life than weddings, banquets and occupancy rates. My friend, who is now my partner, always had this urge to hurtle down snow covered hills. So here I am in Eagle, Colorado and I have found the good life.
