At Boone’s, we’re all about flavor, fun, and keeping things easy. Here are 5 of our absolute favorite margarita recipes that’ll keep your summer sipping strong.

1. Classic Lime Margarita (On the Rocks)
Let’s start with the OG. Simple, timeless, and always a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients:

2 oz tequila (we love using Blanco)

1 oz triple sec or orange liqueur

1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice

½ oz simple syrup (or agave nectar)

Salt for the rim

Lime wedge, for garnish

Directions:
Rim a glass with salt and fill with ice. Shake tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and simple syrup in a shaker with ice. Strain into the glass and garnish with a lime wedge. That’s it—clean, crisp, and perfectly tart.

2. Spicy Pineapple Margarita
A little sweet, a little heat. This one’s for the bold.

Ingredients:

2 oz reposado tequila

1 oz lime juice

¾ oz Cointreau

1 oz pineapple juice

2-3 slices of jalapeño

Tajín for the rim

Pineapple wedge or jalapeño ring for garnish

Directions:
Muddle jalapeño slices in your shaker. Add all liquids and ice, shake well, and strain into a Tajín-rimmed glass with fresh ice. Garnish with a pineapple wedge or jalapeño. Sweet, spicy, and dangerously sippable.

3. Strawberry Basil Margarita
This one is vibrant, herbaceous, and perfect for summer evenings.

Ingredients:

2 oz silver tequila

1 oz lime juice

1 oz strawberry purée (or muddled fresh strawberries)

½ oz agave nectar

A few fresh basil leaves

Directions:
Muddle strawberries and basil in the shaker. Add tequila, lime juice, and agave, then shake with ice. Strain into a glass and garnish with a basil leaf. It’s like summer in a glass.

4. Coconut Margarita
Creamy and tropical, this twist will make you feel like you’re on vacation.

Ingredients:

2 oz coconut tequila or silver tequila + splash of coconut milk

1 oz lime juice

½ oz triple sec

½ oz agave syrup

Toasted coconut flakes (optional for rim)

Directions:
Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a glass with a coconut-flaked rim. Garnish with a lime wedge or mini umbrella for full island vibes.

5. Watermelon Mint Margarita (Blended)
Frozen perfection with ultra-refreshing flavors—this is your go-to for hot days.

Ingredients:

2 cups seedless watermelon chunks

2 oz tequila
