Are you looking for a new Malbec to try, that is robust and full of flavor, while being at an amazing price point? Or maybe you’re unfamiliar with Malbec as a whole and are looking for a new blend of red wine? Let us tell you about Amalaya!

Bodega Amalaya was born in 2010 in the high-altitude plains of the Calchaqui Valley in Salta, Argentina. They grow their grapes at high altitudes, which gives the wine its own unique qualities. Due to the suns intensity, the grapes develop thicker skins and the wine has a deep color and highly concentrated flavors. High altitude grapes also develop more antioxidants, so they are better for you!

The 2019 Malbec is crafted with high altitude organic grapes from Fincas Las Mercedes with outstanding contributions of Tannat and Petit Verdot. This fresh Malbec with soft tannins is truly packed with all the magical high vibrations of this desert oasis.

This wine was scored a 90 by Tim Atkin in 2020 and is certified vegan! The composition is 85% Malbec- 10% Tannat- 5% Petit Verdot. Brilliant ruby color with violet edges. Strawberries, raspberries and ripe fruit with touch of pepper and spices aromas. In mouth, flavors of red fruit, spice and hints of vanilla from aging in French oak. Round, soft tannins lead to a delicate, lingering finish.
