We are BACK on the Boone’s blog with another awesome recipe!! This time, we are going to focus on one flagship cocktail- the Jalapeño Margarita. Because this one also has a from-scratch jalapeño syrup recipe involved, we just wanted to focus on one cocktail, as opposed to the usual 3-5 we do!

Without further introduction, the Jalapeño Margarita!

Ingredients:
2 oz tequila
1 oz lime juice
1 oz jalapeño syrup (see recipe below)
Salt for rimming the glass

Rim a glass with salt by rubbing a lime wedge around the rim and dipping it into salt.
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
Add the tequila, lime juice, and jalapeño syrup to the shaker and shake well.
Strain the mixture into the salt-rimmed glass.
Garnish with a jalapeño slice.

Jalapeño syrup recipe:

1 cup water
1 cup sugar
2 jalapeño peppers, sliced

Combine the water and sugar in a small saucepan and bring to a boil.
Add the jalapeño slices and reduce the heat to a simmer.
Simmer for 10 minutes.
Remove from heat and let the syrup cool.
Strain the syrup through a fine-mesh strainer to remove the jalapeño slices.
